Meal Plans

In addition to a dorm room, on campus housing includes dining services. Campuses offer a selection of meal plans and often some flexibility around how and where they are used. Service hours vary by day of the week and may or may not include the option for three meals per day. For example, some plans will offer a choice of 10-21 meals per week and may include some additional flex or plus dollars for on campus fast food facilities. Unused meals during the week usually do not transfer to the next week, so use them or lose them. Start with a plan that offers the option for two meals per day and then modify it based upon answering these questions:

.How many meals per day do you currently eat?
.Do you skip meals?
.How often do you eat breakfast?
.Do you eat a large or small breakfast?
.Do you think you will eat out on weekends?
.Do you get hungry late in the evening?
.When will be your first class in the morning?
.Will you have a refrigerator in your dorm room?
.Will you have access to a grocery store?
.Will you have a microwave or access to one?
.Will you have a hot pot for boiling water?
